International Lolita day
24th-May-2013 10:18 am

t's international Lolita day and what better way to celebrate than in a beautiful park with great food and lovely company. I figured the best place to have the picnic is the National Arboretum. There is plenty of places to sit down and eat, take pictures, and feed koi and turtles. Who wouldn't want to do that?!?! We can also tour the bonsai and herb garden!

Meeting time:
We will meet up at 12pm then find a nice spot for the picnic around 12:45-1:00 pm. (Give time for late arrivals.) We will have a time for pictures and games once we all become settled and full of delicious food.

This event is a potluck so I ask everyone to bring something of their choice and post what they are bringing so we won't have duplicates. Please if you are a vegetarian, vegan, allergic to anything please mention it. I want everyone to go home with full happy tummies and great memories.

I have some ideas of games we can play, but if anyone else has suggestions feel free to mention some. I'm sure everyone is open to suggestions. If anyone has any outdoor activity equipment (badminton, croquet, accessible games) feel free to bring it. Board games like apples to apples or taboo are also welcomed. We will be touring the area and there is indeed a lot of walking, wear comfy shoes (or bring an extra pair). K

Please be aware this is a picnic. I want everyone to look their best but cautious of what they wear. There is an outdoor dining area but I believe the best spot is inside the arboretum. Bring blankets, mats, and so on just in case we decide to sit on the ground. I will bring at least 3 blankets with me yet I would appreciate it if others brought something as well.
